I had the opportunity to work with Richard at Knock for two years and was continuously impressed by Richard’s dedication to finding not only the best solutions for our customers through user experience, but also improving the design collaboration process within our organization. In order to discover the right strategy for the projects we worked on, Richard sought out conversations with multiple business units, resulting in the creation of better user experiences and improved internal workflows. He’s always willing to provide support to help discover requirements, visualize workflows, and strategize with the team.
In addition to being able to create great designs, Richard also set up design systems for other designers and engineers to utilize. Richard’s experience working with engineering teams also made our collaboration on UX and UI design very enjoyable and created great results for our projects. We were able to iterate quickly to determine the best solution to support both the design/UX as well as engineering tech. In many of these conversations Richard also challenged the tech, allowing engineers to re-evaluate alternative ways of delivering the best experience to users. We were able to bounce ideas, discuss ad-hoc changes during build process and overall collaborate really well.
